What we do

Our practical, results-oriented training builds communication, leadership, and employability skills that prepare youth to thrive — in school, at work, and in life.

Whether it’s empowering youth with disabilities, reaching rural areas, or building confident leaders ready to contribute to national and global development goals, SpeakUp Eswatini is creating a movement of young voices ready to make real impact.

Youth Training Programs

Beginner Program – Build confidence, teamwork, and foundational public speaking skills through storytelling, debates, and a final showcase.

Intermediate Program – Develop advanced communication, leadership, and persuasive speaking skills to prepare for university, job interviews, and real-world opportunities.

Advanced Program – Refine professional presentation, interview, and leadership skills to enhance career readiness, workplace success, and social impact.

The Train-the-Trainer Program equips selected youth leaders, teachers, and community facilitators with the skills, tools, and confidence to deliver SpeakUp Eswatini’s public speaking and leadership curriculum themselves.

What it does

  • Provides intensive training on communication, facilitation, and mentorship techniques.
  • Shares adaptable lesson plans, activities, and resources tailored to different age groups and settings.
  • Builds a pool of certified trainers who can run SpeakUp workshops in schools, youth clubs, and community centers.

What it achieves

  • Expands the program’s reach beyond urban centers into rural and underserved areas.
  • Ensures long-term sustainability by creating a network of local trainers.
  • Multiplies impact — one trained facilitator can empower hundreds of young people over time.

The Rural Outreach Program extends SpeakUp Eswatini’s training to underserved schools and communities, ensuring that young people in rural areas also have access to public speaking, leadership, and confidence-building opportunities.

What it does

  • Delivers tailored workshops in rural schools and community centers.
  • Uses low-cost, practical teaching methods to make training accessible without requiring advanced technology.
  • Works with local educators and youth leaders to adapt the curriculum to rural realities and needs.

What it achieves

  • Bridges the gap in educational and personal development opportunities between urban and rural youth.
  • Empowers rural children with confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities that strengthen community participation.
  • Creates pathways for rural youth to access further education, employment, and leadership opportunities.

The Empowering Youths with Diverse Needs Program ensures that young people living with physical or learning disabilities are fully included in SpeakUp Eswatini’s mission to empower voices and build leadership.

What it does

  • Adapts public speaking and communication training to suit different abilities and learning needs.
  • Creates inclusive, supportive spaces where youths with diverse needs can build confidence and self-expression.
  • Partners with disability organisations, schools, and caregivers to ensure accessibility and support.

What it achieves

  • Builds confidence and communication skills among youths with diverse needs.
  • Opens horizons to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities by preparing participants for interviews, presentations, and professional interactions.
  • Promotes inclusion and equality, ensuring that youths with diverse needs are seen and heard as leaders in their communities.
